Jobs People Have Refused To Pay Me For

I have not been able to convince anyone to compensate me to:

• Play football.
• Play baseball.
• Box.
• Write novels.
• Write poetry.
• Be a rock 'n' roll singer.
• Uncover the John F. Kennedy assassination conspiracy and write a book about it.
• Write a column three times a week -- about anything I want -- and be syndicated by major newspapers worldwide.
• Be the official biographer of Paul McCartney.
• Manage a World Series baseball team.
• Paint or sculpt modern art.
• Golf.
• Serve as companion and confidant to J.D. Salinger.
• Deliver checks for The Millionaire.

But you never know, so I try to stay in shape and answer my voice mail.
